Join Our Third Season in the Algarve, Portugal
A welcoming community for worldschooling, homeschooling and travelling families.
5 October 2026 – End of May 2027
Welcome Home

At Naturally Richer, we believe the richest lives aren't measured by what we own, but by the freedom we have, the memories we create and the people we share them with.
We believe childhood should be filled with adventure, curiosity, laughter and genuine human connection — the kind that comes from exploring the world together, making new friends and discovering the joy in everyday moments.
That's why we created our Algarve Hub.
We wanted to create a place where families from around the world could come together, build friendships and share a richer way of life. A place where children of all ages can connect with one another, share adventures, play games, explore their surroundings and make memories that stay with them long after their stay.
Unlike a typical holiday, we welcomes families to stay for several weeks or even months, giving friendships the time to grow into deeper connections and allowing families to feel settled, rather than simply passing through. Because some of the most meaningful relationships develop when we have the time to truly get to know one another.
Because we believe life becomes richer when we spend quality time together, embrace new experiences and create a village wherever we go.
At the same time, parents find something just as valuable—a welcoming community of worldschooling, homeschooling and travelling families who understand this way of life. Morning coffees become beach walks, shared meals become lifelong friendships, and strangers quickly become people you can't imagine leaving behind.
This isn't about rushing from one destination to the next.
It's about slowing down.
Feeling settled.
Creating a home away from home.
Whether you stay for one week or several months, you'll find a place where children thrive, parents feel supported, and life becomes naturally richer.

What Does Everyday Life Look Like at Our Hub?
No two days at the hub are ever the same. Mornings are yours. Some families spend time homeschooling or working remotely, while others enjoy a slow breakfast, head to the beach, explore a local market or simply relax by the pool. In the afternoons, families come together for an optional meetup, giving everyone the freedom to create a morning that works for their own family. But some of the best moments aren't planned at all. They happen naturally, as families meet, friendships blossom, children find their people, and parents discover connections they didn't even know they were looking for. One day you might be surfing the Atlantic, hiking along the coastline or exploring a hidden waterfall. The next could be spent at the beach, creating artwork, playing outdoor games or simply watching the children disappear into hours of imaginative play together. As the day winds down, we might gather once again for pizza night, games, a movie night, mum's meetup, dad's meetup or simply another spectacular Algarve sunset. There's no pressure to join everything. Spend the day with others or explore at your own pace—you'll always know there's a friendly group waiting whenever you're ready to join.
The Childhood We Remember
When I was growing up, some of my happiest memories weren't from holidays or special occasions. They were the ordinary days. Meeting friends in the neighborhood, riding bikes, inventing games, climbing trees and laughing until our stomachs hurt. The kind of simple moments that turned into lifelong memories and friendships. There was a special kind of magic to childhood — a sense of adventure, belonging and connection that many of us remember fondly. We had a neighborhood, a group of friends and a feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves. As parents, many of us would love our children to experience that same joy of making friends, sharing adventures and growing up surrounded by people they know and care about. Yet in today's busy world, creating those opportunities can be more challenging than ever. That's one of the main reasons we created Naturally Richer Hubs: to bring back that feeling of having a neighborhood, a community of like-minded families where friendships grow naturally and life is shared. We wanted to create a place where children could meet friends of different ages, find their people and build meaningful connections, while parents could connect with families who share similar values, enjoy similar lifestyles and understand the joys and challenges of raising children. And that's exactly what makes our Algarve Hub in Portugal so special. Families come together at the beach, explore the surrounding area, share experiences and make plans together. They can join daily organised activities or simply arrange spontaneous meetups and see where the day takes them. Children discover common interests, invent games, share their passions and create their own little traditions. Parents get to know one another, exchange ideas, enjoy a coffee together and experience the joy of having a community around them. Unlike a typical holiday, our Algarve Hub offers families the opportunity to stay for several weeks or even months. This is what makes it particularly special: there's time to move beyond first introductions, get to know one another on a deeper level and build friendships that become part of everyday life. Children have more time to develop lasting friendships, while parents can form genuine connections with people who may become friends long after their time in Portugal has ended. Familiar faces become friends, shared experiences turn into treasured memories, and families begin to feel part of a little neighborhood of people that just get them. We're not simply bringing families together for activities or creating a place to spend a holiday. We're creating the opportunity to experience something many of us remember from our own childhoods: a sense of community, belonging and having our people close by. For many families, it's these simple moments that become the most treasured part of their stay. It's an opportunity to slow down, connect with like-minded people and experience a richer way of life — one filled with friendship, adventure, belonging and memories that stay with us long after we've moved on. And perhaps most importantly, it's a reminder that we don't have to do life alone. Sometimes, all we need is a place where we can find our people, where our children can find theirs, and where, even far away from home, we can create a little neighborhood together.

Is Our Hub Right for Your Family?
Our Algarve Hub isn't for every family—and that's exactly what makes it so special. It's for families who value connection over crowds, experiences over schedules, and community over package holidays. You'll feel right at home here if you... Are worldschooling, homeschooling, travelling long-term or taking a family gap year. Want your children to build genuine friendships, not just holiday memories. Dream of spending the colder months surrounded by sunshine, nature and outdoor adventures. Work remotely and would love a supportive community around you. Believe children learn best through curiosity, play and real-life experiences. Are looking for deeper connections with like-minded families from around the world. Want to slow down, stay in one place for a while and experience what it feels like to truly belong. Love exploring beautiful places, but enjoy sharing those adventures with others rather than doing it alone. Want your children—and yourself—to experience the kind of freedom, friendships and community that are becoming increasingly rare. Whether you join us for one week or stay for several months, you'll become part of a welcoming international community where children quickly find their place, parents feel supported, and everyday life becomes something truly special. If you've found yourself reading this page and quietly thinking, "This feels like us." We'd love to welcome your family to Portugal.
