Our central location makes it easy to explore everything the Algarve has to offer. Whether you're heading east towards the Spanish border or west to the rugged coastline and the westernmost point of the Algarve, most of the region is within an hour's drive.
Throughout the season, we'll discover many of these incredible places together—from hidden beaches and scenic hiking trails to picturesque villages, local markets and unforgettable family adventures.
And at the end of each day, you'll return to a place that truly feels like home.

Accommodation Guide
Where Will We Stay?
Our Algarve Hub is based in Herdade dos Salgados, a beautiful 5-star gated seaside condominium in the central Algarve, where most of our hub families choose to stay together.
For the best experience, we highly recommend staying within the condominium or just a short walk away in Salgados Village.
One of the greatest benefits of staying here is everything that happens beyond our official programme.
Children can safely knock on each other's doors, play in the gardens, ride scooters and spend hours together before and after meetups—rediscovering the kind of childhood that's becoming increasingly rare. Meanwhile, parents can enjoy a coffee, catch up with friends or simply relax, knowing their children are never far away.
Families staying elsewhere are always welcome to join every meetup and community gathering. However, staying in or near the condominium makes it much easier to enjoy the spontaneous moments, friendships and everyday connections that become such a special part of the hub experience.
Please note: Most of our official meetups and adventures take place at locations across the Algarve. However, many of our informal gatherings—such as mums' meetups, women's circles, movie nights, pool hangouts and seasonal celebrations—take place within the condominium.

One of the reasons families love staying here is that almost everything you need is within easy walking distance.

The area is peaceful, safe and surrounded by nature, while still being close to everything you might need during your stay.
Booking Your Accommodation
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially if you're planning to stay during the busier months.
Our favourite booking platform is Aderférias, which usually offers the best prices and excellent customer service. You can find and book your apartment directly on their website.

Please note: This is a small local company, so response times may occasionally be a little slower. I've personally rented through them for the past four years because I know and trust the people behind the business. They genuinely care about their guests and have always provided excellent service.
When searching on Aderferias website, choose the zone:

Once you press search, apartments in our condominium will then come up as Herdade Dos Salgados.
Tip: If your dates are flexible, browse individual apartments within the Salgados area rather than searching only by your exact dates. This often shows much better availability. In this case, only put in zone Salgados, and leave all of the other options unselected, unless you want to select exactly how many bedrooms you need. Press search and you should get many results. Then just click on each apartment and check the available dates one by one.
If you are on a lower budget, you can also search in nearby areas, listed as recommended best option first:
In the zone Salgados, the results might also include apartments and villas with the name - location:

Salgados Village, 2-minute walk from our complex - making it the best alternative for a lower budget.

Galé (10–15-minute walk or 2–3-minute drive) - great alternative, as older children can walk to our complex alone
A short drive away: In that case, select the Town, not the zone:

Guia (3-4 min drive) Next good option

Armação de Pêra (10-minute drive, approximately 1 hour walk via the scenic boardwalk, or around 20 minutes by bicycle) This is a great option for families on a lower budget, as you can walk or cycle directly to our hub. In this case, it is often a much better choice than Albufeira, especially if you’d like to stay connected to the community without needing a car for every meetup.

Our Pet-Friendly Apartment Available for Long-Term Rent
If you're looking for a longer stay, I also have a pet-friendly two-bedroom apartment available within Herdade dos Salgados.
It's ideal for families who would like to stay longer in the heart of the community and enjoy everything the condominium has to offer.

Travelling by Camper?
You're very welcome to join our hub while travelling by campervan.
Several convenient parking areas are located close to Herdade dos Salgados, allowing you to stay nearby and easily join the community throughout your stay.
Beach Parking (5-minute walk)
A large parking area is located just a short walk from the condominium.
You can park here for extended periods, however local regulations do not allow camping outside your vehicle, so tables, chairs, awnings and other camping equipment cannot be set up.
We also recommend several other camper-friendly locations within approximately 3–10 minutes' drive from the hub.
