The adult course covers a wide range of topics relating to the construction of an earthen building.  You will gain theoretical and practical knowledge on: building regulations, designing with passive solar and energy saving principles, earth's thermal mass for storing heat, materials/tools needed for building process, planning and building the roof, testing your soil, how to mix materials with correct clay-sand ratios, foundations, drainage, stem wall, building the walls (with different methods for load-bearing walls or wall fillers), inserting window frames, earthen plasters, earthen floors, advantages/disadvantages of earth, combination with other building materials, performance of earthen homes during
the summer and winter, and much more. 

We offer a plant-based food with refreshments
throughout the day.
