What Awaits You This Season

Discover the adventures, experiences and welcoming community that make our Algarve Worldschooling Hub feel like home.

Every season is different because every group of families brings its own energy, interests and ideas.

​

For our third season, we're creating our biggest and most exciting programme yet, with even more opportunities to explore the Algarve, build meaningful friendships and create unforgettable memories together. Some experiences are available throughout the season, while others take place at the best time of year or when the weather conditions are just right.

​

From relaxed beach afternoons, breathtaking coastal hikes and hidden waterfalls to creative workshops, horse riding, capoeira, boat trips, dolphin and whale watching, mums' and dads' meetups, and so much more, every experience is thoughtfully chosen to inspire curiosity, encourage connection and make the most of everything the Algarve has to offer.

While we carefully plan each season around the weather, local events and the interests of the group, there's always room for spontaneity. Families are invited to suggest new ideas and vote for the experiences they're most excited about, helping shape each season together.

​

Because the most memorable adventures aren't just about the places we visit—they're about the people we share them with.

​

Ocean adventures​

​​The Atlantic Ocean is at the heart of life here.

Depending on the weather and ocean conditions, experiences may include:

​

  • Surfing - €20 per person lesson, €15 per person rental Surfboard & wetsuit - available most days on our local beach

  • Bodyboarding - available most days on our local beach

  • Paddle boarding - €25 per person, throughout the warmer months

  • Kayaking - €35 per kayak - €35 per person - throughout the warmer months

  • Boat trips exploring stunning coastline - €16 - 35 per person throughout the season 

  • Exploring sea caves and cliffs - throughout the season

  • Cliff jumping - throughout the warmer months

  • Rock pools and marine life - throughout the season

  • Dolphin and whale watching trips with marine biologists - €45 - 55 per person - throughout the season

  • Beach days and sunset picnics - regular community meetups

Nature & Discovery​

​There's so much more to the Algarve than its beaches.

Together we will explore:

​

  • Scenic hikes - throughout the season

  • Swimming at waterfalls - regular during the warmer months

  • Subtropical food forests and permaculture workshops - €10 per child - throughout the season

  • Nature parks - throughout the season

  • Bird watching - throughout the season

  • Local markets - throughout the season

  • Historic towns and villages

  • Museums and cultural experiences

  • Seasonal festivals and much more

Creativity, Play & Movement​

​Children learn best through curiosity, creativity and shared experiences.

Throughout the season there will be opportunities to enjoy:

  • Arts and crafts - €5 - 10 per person - regular during the cooler months

  • Outdoor games - throughout the season

  • Treasure hunts - throughout the season

  • Playground meetups - throughout the season

  • Capoeira - available 2x per week for all ages including adults - €40 per person per month - Throughout the season

  • High ropes courses & ziplining - €13 - 20 per person - regular throughout the season

  • Bouldering - available throughout the season

  • Horse riding lessons - €15 - 20 per hour - available daily

  • Horse riding trek - €30 - 35 per person - available daily 

  • Pony club - €25 - 35 per person - weekly

  • Yoga, Pilates, Sauna, Gym and movement sessions - available daily at the Wellness Hub - membership €60 - 90 per month

  • Family sports and games - throughout the season

  • Just dance - during the cooler months

  • Ice skating - during December

  • Swimming and much more

Teen Adventures

​One of our biggest goals this season is creating an incredible community for teenagers.

We're bringing together families with older children as well, so teens have the chance to build genuine friendships while enjoying more independence and adventure.

Depending on the group and weather, our teens may enjoy together:

  • Surfing and bodyboarding - available most days on our local beach

  • Paddle boarding and kayaking - throughout the warmer months

  • Bouldering - throughout the season

  • Horse riding - available daily throughout the season

  • Gym sessions - available daily throughout the season

  • Beach volleyball and sports - throughout the season

  • Pool hangouts - throughout the season

  • Pizza nights - €20 per person per month - including all you can eat pizza - weekly throughout the season 

  • Movie nights - throughout the season

  • Day trips across the Algarve - throughout the season with an adults supervision

  • Sunset meetups - throughout the season

  • Time to simply relax and spend time together

Time For Parents

​Parents deserve community too. 

Throughout the season there are plenty of opportunities to slow down, connect and enjoy time together while the children play.

These may include:

  • Coffee mornings

  • Beach walks

  • Mums' meetups - weekly throughout the season

  • Dads' meetups - weekly throughout the season

  • Women's circles - weekly throughout the season

  • Adult games nights - regular throughout the season

  • Shared lunches and dinners - throughout the season

  • Sip and paint sessions - throughout the season

  • Wellness and sauna sessions - available daily at the Wellness Hub

  • Fitness classes - available daily at the Wellness Hub

  • Sunset hangouts and much more

Community Moments

  • Weekly pizza nights - €20 per person per month including all you can eat pizza

  • Regular potluck lunches

  • Beach gatherings

  • Birthday Celebrations

  • Beach sunsets

  • Seasonal celebrations

  • Just dance parties - During the cooler months

  • Karaoke - During the cooler months

  • Relaxed evenings spent together and much more
